You're not allowed to stand for anything in politics without being in it for the money?
Kez's cv is political from tip of the hair to the toes. It's the johhny-come-lately Headmaster turned politician you have to raise questions about if you ask me....
I've much more time for someone who has spent his life working elsewhere and made a decent fist of it too, before getting into politics - as opposed to shop stewards of course.
I suppose it's just as likely that Johnny come lately headmaster just fancies a wee shot at the gravy train too though, having seen the woeful sepcimens that do actually get a run at it...
My take is that Ms. Dugdale is in it for a career, and the Labour party probably have her marked as a good un with potential, so are giving her a bit of experience with this. After all, she's helped Foulksey come up with all those clever questions for parliament...
As I've gotten older I've become more interested - maybe disheartened - by politics. Currently I'm pretty happy for Scotland to have an SNP administration and am endlessly amused by the antics of the Labour party, as they come to grips with the task of opposition in Scotland, although I'm starting to wish they get it together a wee bit.
Apparently these days I'm a left wing libertarian (www.politicalcompass.org) which is just about where I reckon I am.
This blog will be a bit sporadic, it's really just to allow me to read and follow threads on other sites
